Description
Inside the crate is an old palm-sized copper badge, green with age. On the front, a petrel spreads its wings, the tips nearly cutting past the edge. On the back, only a few words remain: "...may... the sea... protect... return..." The marks are shallow, carved by hand stroke by stroke, not stamped from a mold.
