Best Armor Sets in Once Human
Last updated: March 2026

Once Human has 20 armor sets, from uncommon 5-piece starter sets to legendary 6-piece endgame builds. Each set unlocks progressive bonuses as you equip more pieces — and the 3 and 4-piece bonuses are where things get interesting. This guide ranks them by how well those bonuses actually perform, with the full breakdown for each set. All bonus data is from the armor sets index.
S-Tier: The Sets to Chase
Lonewolf Set (Legendary)
Lonewolf Set is the consensus #1 armor set. +10% Magazine Capacity and +5% Crit Rate from the first two pieces. The 3-piece is where it gets real: every 4 crit shots give you a stack of Lone Shadow (+6% Crit DMG, stacks up to 8 times, lasts 20s). That's up to 48% bonus Crit DMG. The 4-piece bumps max stacks to 10 (60% Crit DMG) and gives +10% Crit Rate for 2s after reloading. Players report 40K+ DPS without food buffs.
Works with any weapon, any range, any playstyle. Pair with high-RPM weapons like KVD - Boom! Boom! to build stacks fast. This is the set to chase first.
Shelterer Set (Legendary)
Shelterer Set is the #2 set and the foundation for elemental builds (Blaze, Frost, Shock, Blast). +15% Status DMG Reduction and +8% Elemental DMG from the first two pieces. The 3-piece stacks Deviant Energy on every weapon hit — each stack gives +1% Elemental DMG, up to 20 stacks. Reloading cuts your stacks in half. The 4-piece raises the cap to 30 stacks and gives 2 bonus stacks on weakspot hits.
The key advantage over other elemental sets: it triggers on hit, not on kill. That makes it strong against bosses, not just trash mobs. Run it with high-mag weapons — KVD - Boom! Boom! (100 rounds) or any LMG — to minimize stack loss from reloads.
A-Tier: Strong Builds
Renegade Set (Legendary)
Renegade Set rewards precision. +10% Reload Efficiency and +10% Weakspot DMG from the first two pieces. The 3-piece gives Archer's Focus: consecutive hits on the same target stack +4% Weakspot DMG, up to 10 times (+40%). Switch targets and your stacks halve.
The 4-piece is clever — when you reload, for every 1% of shots from your last mag that were weakspot hits, you load an extra 0.6% ammo, up to +30%. Land all headshots and you barely lose ammo on reload. The boss-shredding set. Pair with snipers or the Recurve Crossbow.
Falcon Set (Epic)
Falcon Set is more highly regarded than its epic rarity suggests. -20% Rolling Stamina, +12% Crit DMG. Above 90% Stamina, you get +5% Crit Rate and +20% Crit DMG. Kills recover 30 Stamina and give +20% Movement Speed for 2s.
Some players mix 2-piece Falcon with 4-piece Lonewolf for crit synergy, though full 6-piece Lonewolf is equally popular. It's also the best "all stages of the game" set — fragments drop from world crates (no Starchrom needed), so you can start building it early and it stays relevant.
Bastille Set (Legendary)
Bastille Set is a turret build. +10% Weapon DMG when HP is above 70%, +15% Reload Efficiency. Crouch for 0.5s to enter Bastille state: +40% Weapon DMG. The trade-off — leaving Bastille disables sprint and doubles stamina cost for 3s. The 4-piece stacks Armor after exiting Bastille (1 per second, up to 60) — each stack converts to a 1% max HP shield when you re-enter Bastille.
Extremely strong when you can hold position. Terrible when you can't. Works best in co-op where teammates handle flanks, or with snipers at long range. Don't bring it to content that requires mobility.
B-Tier: Solid Options
Heavy Duty Set (Epic)
Heavy Duty Set does elemental damage too, but with a brawler twist. +10% Max HP, +8% Elemental DMG. Kills give +20% Movement Speed for 2s and +40% Elemental DMG (decays over 8s). The 4-piece gives DMG Reduction +4% per nearby enemy, stacking up to 4 times.
The problem: it triggers on kill, not on hit. Shelterer is strictly better for boss fights. Heavy Duty is fine for clearing trash mobs in close range, but for anything that matters, you want Shelterer.
Savior Set (Legendary)
Savior Set is the survivability set. -20% Medicine CD and +10% Weapon/Status DMG while shielded. The 3-piece converts 6% of current HP on hit into a shield (6% of max HP, 30s, won't exceed 60% shield). The 4-piece auto-uses your lowest-grade Activator when HP drops below 30% (40s cooldown). Good for solo content and Silo runs where staying alive matters more than DPS optimization.
Agent Set (Epic)
Agent Set is a solid early-game combat set. +10% Head DMG Reduction, +10% Weakspot DMG. The 3-piece gives Bullet Saver on precise kills (+15% Weakspot DMG for 8s, stacking 3 times). Fragments drop from Mystical Crates in Iron River, so it's farmable without Starchrom. Good stepping stone before Renegade or Lonewolf, but gets outclassed at endgame.
Blackstone Sets (Legendary)
Three variants: base, Heat, and Cold. All built around elemental damage scaling with temperature. Heat and Cold variants can hit +40% Elemental DMG cap in the right biome. The mechanics are powerful on paper, but players report bugs and the temperature requirement limits where you can use them. Shelterer is more consistent for elemental builds.
C-Tier: Niche Picks
Stormweaver Set (Legendary)
Stormweaver Set has an interesting mechanic — taking damage builds Powered Armor stacks (+4% DMG Reduction each, up to 6 = 24%), and rolling consumes 3 stacks to trigger an explosion that knocks back enemies and heals you. Sounds cool, but the stamina management is redundant with food buffs, and the rolling explosion is clunky in practice. Most players skip this one.
Blast Set (Rare)
Blast Set is the only melee set — +20% Heavy Melee DMG at 1-piece, +12% Torso DMG Reduction at 2-piece, and the 3-piece gives +20% next Melee DMG plus 5 Prime Energy after melee kills. If you're going melee, it's your only option. But melee builds lack endgame scaling compared to ranged, so be aware you're playing on hard mode.
Early Game Sets
Rustic Set (uncommon, 5 pieces) gives +8% Movement Speed, +15% Melee DMG, +600 HP, and +20% Gathering Speed. Useful for gathering runs. Scout Set (rare) is the first combat set — +10% Max HP, +8% Weapon DMG, and +20% Weapon/Tactical DMG when undetected. Good for stealth openers. Raid Set (rare) is the pack mule — +15% Gathering Speed, +20 Max Load, -30% Stamina on gliding and rolling. Swap between Raid for gathering and Scout or Falcon for fighting.
Which Set Should You Farm First?
Get Falcon pieces from world crates as you play — they'll carry you through mid-game. Then target Lonewolf as your first endgame set. The crit scaling is universal and works with every weapon type. If you're running an elemental build, go Shelterer instead.
Some experienced players run a 4-piece Lonewolf + 2-piece Falcon hybrid for the crit synergy. Others do full 6-piece Lonewolf. Either works.
