Best Weapons in Once Human
Last updated: March 2026

Once Human has over 125 weapons across 10 types. Raw damage numbers matter, but what separates good weapons from great ones is their special effects — shrapnel, burn, bounce, vulnerability marks. A weapon with a strong ability will outperform a higher-DPS weapon without one. This guide covers the picks that actually perform in practice, backed by datamined stats and community-tested builds.
Assault Rifles
ARs are the backbone of most builds — versatile, ammo-efficient, and strong at mid-range. The winner here isn't about raw damage.
SOCR - The Last Valor is arguably the best weapon in the game, period. 45 damage at 515 RPM with a 30-round mag. The raw DPS is modest, but the shrapnel bullet effect shreds targets — it does far more in practice than the numbers suggest. This is the PvE king.
KAM - Abyss Glance is the PvP pick. 39 damage at 600 RPM with a 40-round mag and a Frost Vortex effect that slows and damages grouped enemies. If you play on PvP servers, this is the AR to chase. Ultra Force (96 damage, 515 RPM, 36-round mag) is a solid legendary alternative with higher per-shot damage.
SMGs
Close to mid-range shredders with high RPM. The best ones bring build-defining abilities on top of fast fire rates.
MPS7 - Chaos Domain (48 damage, 850 RPM, 35-round mag) is a strong pick for raw DPS. MPS5 - Kumawink is a legendary bounce weapon — bullets ricochet between targets, which is absurdly good in tight spaces and against groups. 37 damage, 750 RPM, 30-round mag.
TEC9 - Additional Rules (61 damage, 450 RPM, 30-round mag) offers higher per-shot damage if you prefer a slower, harder-hitting SMG feel.
LMGs
Big magazines, sustained fire, and the ability to keep damage rolling without reloading. LMGs pair especially well with the Shelterer armor set since you lose elemental stacks on reload — and LMGs barely reload.
KVD - Boom! Boom! is one of the two best weapons in the entire game. 44 damage, 500 RPM, 100-round mag — but the real star is the burn + AoE explosion effect. It melts groups, it melts bosses, it melts everything. If you only chase one weapon blueprint, make it this one.
MG4 - Predator (32 damage, 700 RPM, 75-round mag) is the other top-tier LMG — the fire rate is higher than Boom Boom and it shreds in sustained fights. Aurora Fort has the highest raw LMG damage (98 per shot, 700 RPM, 90-round mag) if you want pure numbers.
Sniper Rifles
Long-range precision damage. The RPM is brutal on bolt-actions, so every shot has to count.
AWS.338 - Bullseye does 316 damage at 58m range with a weakspot damage stacking ability (+15% per hit, up to 3 stacks) and a vulnerability mark (8% for 12s). Best-in-slot for single-target boss damage. 40 RPM, 5-round mag — you're reloading a lot, but each shot counts.
HAMR - Brahminy is the community favorite — 218 damage, 85 RPM, 8-round mag with a bounce effect. Bullets ricochet to nearby enemies after hitting a target. Land a headshot and the bounce can kill a second target. Less single-target damage than the Bullseye, but way more fun and better for groups.
Pistols
Pistols in Once Human aren't just sidearms — several rival primary weapons in damage output.
R500 - Memento is the best pistol. 170 damage at 145 RPM with a consumption mechanic that can unleash a shot dealing roughly 80% more damage. Its base DPS rivals dedicated sniper rifles. 5-round cylinder, so every shot matters.
DE.50 - Jaws (128 damage, 190 RPM, 9-round mag) is strong for explosive builds. For team utility, the DE.50 - Wildfire provides a vulnerability debuff that amplifies your whole squad's damage.
Shotguns
All shotguns are capped at 7m range, so you're always in the enemy's face.
The ACS12 variants dominate. The ACS12 - Pyroclasm is the most powerful DPS shotgun with a 27% burn chance per shot — enemies melt. ACS12 - Corrosion is the Power Surge build staple with a 70% proc chance per shot.
DBSG - Doombringer (62 damage, 180 RPM, 2-round mag) is the best double-barrel variant — it has a Bull's Eye ability for weakspot damage. The 2-round mag hurts, but the burst damage is real. DB12 - Raining Cash (55 damage, 12-round mag) trades burst for sustained fire and an AoE buff.
Crossbows
Small category, but Critical Pulse is one of the strongest weapons in the game — 310 damage, 90 RPM, single-shot. Players report it one-shots fully geared opponents in PvP and destroys PvE content. Not a niche pick — genuinely meta-defining if you can land your shots.
The Recurve Crossbow (279 damage, 125 RPM) is widely considered the best secondary weapon for most builds thanks to its Bull's Eye debuff. Worth carrying even if your primary is a gun.
Compound Bow (310 damage) looks strong on paper but falls off once you have mods and calibrated gear. Good early, outclassed later.
Melee
Melee doesn't have RPM or magazine stats, so DPS comparisons are tricky. The Machete (162 damage) and Scourge (240 damage) lead on raw per-hit numbers. Melee builds need the Blast Set (+20% Heavy Melee DMG at 1-piece), but be warned — melee is a tough path that lacks endgame scaling compared to ranged builds.
